KYC VERIFICATION POLICY – THATSAPI (THATSAPI Messaging Solutions) Last Updated: 17/12/2025 IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION THATSAPI does NOT collect, request, or mandate submission of any personal or business documents from users. Business Manager (BM) verification is a process entirely handled by Meta (Facebook/WhatsApp). Users are required to submit all verification documents directly to Meta through Meta’s official Business Manager platform for business portfolio and BM verification. THATSAPI only provides access to Meta’s official WhatsApp Business API, Embedded Signup flow, and related tools through the THATSAPI portal. THATSAPI does not verify, approve, or reject any business on behalf of Meta. If a user voluntarily shares any document with THATSAPI, such sharing is done entirely at the user’s own risk. THATSAPI shall not be responsible or liable for any misuse, rejection, suspension, data exposure, or consequences arising from such voluntary sharing. THATSAPI may ask users to declare their business category or nature of business only to ensure that the business does not violate Meta WhatsApp Business or platform policies. This information is collected solely for compliance awareness, not for verification. 1. PURPOSE OF KYC VERIFICATION KYC (Know Your Customer) verification exists to: • Ensure compliance with Meta WhatsApp Business API policies • Prevent fraud, spam, scams, and illegal activities • Maintain platform security and user trust • Identify prohibited or high-risk business categories • Comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations 2. WHO MUST COMPLETE KYC KYC or business verification may apply to: • Businesses using WhatsApp Business API • Users onboarding through Meta Business Manager • Agencies, resellers, or partners • High-volume or enterprise messaging users • Accounts flagged for suspicious or high-risk activity Note: Business Manager verification is completed directly on Meta’s platform, not by THATSAPI. 3. DOCUMENT COLLECTION POLICY THATSAPI DOES NOT: • Mandatorily collect Aadhaar, PAN, GST, or any government ID • Store documents for Meta Business Manager verification • Verify or approve documents on behalf of Meta • Guarantee Business Manager or WhatsApp approval META DOES: • Request and verify documents for BM verification • Approve or reject businesses based on Meta policies • Take all final verification decisions independently 4. VOLUNTARY DOCUMENT SHARING DISCLAIMER If a user chooses to share documents with THATSAPI for support or guidance: • Document sharing is completely voluntary • Sharing is done at the user’s sole risk • THATSAPI does not guarantee approval or verification • THATSAPI is not liable for any rejection, suspension, or misuse • Users are strongly advised not to share sensitive documents unless absolutely required 5. BUSINESS CATEGORY DECLARATION THATSAPI may ask users to declare: • Nature of business • Industry category • Messaging use-case This is done only to: • Check compliance with Meta policies • Prevent onboarding of prohibited businesses • Protect platform integrity • Reduce risk of future suspension 6. META BUSINESS MANAGER VERIFICATION PROCESS • User logs into Meta Business Manager • Documents are submitted directly to Meta • Meta performs independent verification • Approval or rejection is decided solely by Meta • THATSAPI has no control over Meta’s decision 7. NON-COMPLIANCE & POLICY VIOLATIONS Accounts may be suspended or terminated if: • Business falls under Meta’s prohibited categories • False or misleading information is provided • Meta policies are violated • Illegal, scam, spam, or abusive activity is detected No refunds will be issued for suspensions due to policy violations. 8. LEGAL & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE This policy aligns with: • DPDP Act, 2023 (India) • Information Technology Act, 2000 • CERT-IN Guidelines • Meta WhatsApp Business API Policies 9. POLICY UPDATES • THATSAPI may update this policy at any time • Updates will be published on the official website • Continued use of THATSAPI services implies acceptance of updates 10.
